L'industrie de la mort a le vent dans les voiles. Blackwater qui est au centre d'un terrible scandale après avoir descendu impunément 13 personnes dans la rue, sans provocations, vient de se voir octroyé un nouveau contrat par le gouvernement US d'une valeur de 92 millionsUS$, portant ainsi à autour d'un milliard de dollars US en contrats qu'ils gagnent du gouvernement. Message: tue et ravage, on va te couvrir et te récompenser.

C'est pas compliqué, plus il y a "d'ennemis" et plus longtemps que les guerres et conflits perdurent, plus ils font de l'argent. Leur source de profit est la destruction et la mort. Un point c'est tout. Regardez l'article qui rapporte que les actions des compagnies du complexe militaro-industriel montent en flèche, alors que le compte des corps morts monte lui aussi. N'est-ce pas répugnant et signe d'un système complètement anti-humain, prêt à broyer des vies pour extraire du profit pour quelques compagnies connectées aux mêmes gens qui favorisent ces guerres?

Et pourtant, ces compagnies sont immunisées contre toutes poursuites, et si poursuites il y a, elles seront défendues par le gouvernement US, et à ses frais! Incroyable!

Pendant ce temps, le Pentagone et l'industrie de l'armement développent des nouvelles armes à énergie pour contrôler le peuple domestiquement qui sont pas mal troublantes. C'est toute une industrie malsaine qui roule avec notre argent qu'on gagne difficilement chaque jour et qui va servir à nous mater... joyeux, non??!

We have kept ourselves in military operations since WWII not to make us safer or to bring freedom to the world, but chiefly to keep our Defense and Munitions industries alive and profitable. I'm not saying that there haven't been reasonable and righteous reasons for us to be involved in military conflict at certain times since WWII. But the Iraqupation may be the greatest misuse of our military power in our nations history and contrary to popular belief, it has not backfired, at least not for those making money off it.

That's why the only party in congress these days is the "War Party", with members of both sides of the isle simply acquisitions of the companies which buy both their loyalty- and national policy.

Defense stocks hit new highs

Defense stocks on Wednesday hit new highs ahead of Defense Secretary Robert Gates' visit to Capitol Hill to request roughly $45 billion in additional funding to cover military costs in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2008.

The AMEX Defense Index, which tracks 14 major defense company stocks, rose 14.25 to a high of 1,686.72 in afternoon trading. Since last year, the index has risen roughly 47 percent, outperforming the broader S&P 500 index, which has climbed nearly 15 percent over the same period.

ONLY another 45 billion?

Don't hold your breath on that one.

Congress Quietly Approves Billions More for Iraq War

The Senate agreed on Thursday to increase the federal debt limit by $850 billion -- from $8.965 trillion to $9.815 trillion -- and then proceeded to approve a stop-gap spending bill that gives the Bush White House at least $9 billion in new funding for its war in Iraq.

Additionally, the administration has been given emergency authority to tap further into a $70 billion "bridge fund" to provide new infusions of money for the occupation while the Congress works on appropriations bills for the Department of Defense and other agencies.

Translation: Under the guise of a stop-gap spending bill that is simply supposed to keep the government running until a long-delayed appropriations process is completed -- probably in November -- the Congress has just approved a massive increase in war funding.

I have to congratulate the members of the Senate for having revealed themselves, in a brilliantly bi-partisan move, as having been completely acquired by the defense industry.

The only "choice" the American people appear to have in 2008 election is which greater warmonger they'll have the "privilege" of electing.

State Department Protection Racket

The US Department of State under the obliging leadership of Condolezza Rice refused to provide a Congressional investigating committee with official documents detailing extensive corruption within the Iraq government. It also intervened on behalf of Blackwater International, telling them NOT TO reveal anything to Congress or the courts about their duties and operations in Iraq--which they claim is a "state secret." As the public outcry grows against using "national security" to cover for illegal and criminal acts, Congress and the Courts seem strangely unwilling or impotent to rein in administration high handedness. It's no wonder that the public's approval rating of Congress has fallen to the lowest rate in history--29%, even lower than Bush's 33% approval rating.

The cover-up of Iraqi corruption is essential in maintaining a puppet government in power. I don't believe Congress has the guts to do anything about it even if it knew the details. However, it is the establishment's fear of a growing public demand to pull out of Iraq that is driving this secrecy. The public should be rightfully incensed. After pouring over $200 billion into Iraqi reconstruction the public has a right to know why this money has produced such minuscule results, lining the pockets of military contractors and corrupt Iraqi leaders in the process.

Congressman: State Dept. official threatened investigators

Aides to State Department Inspector General Howard Krongard threatened two investigators with retaliation this week if they cooperate with a congressional probe into Krongard's office, the chairman of a House of Representatives panel and other U.S. officials said Friday.

The allegations are the latest in a growing uproar surrounding Krongard. Current and former officials in his office charge that he impeded investigations into alleged arms smuggling by employees of the private security firm Blackwater and into faulty construction of the new U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

Pentagon Gives Blackwater New Contract

A U.S.-based private security firm received a contract worth up to 92 million dollars from the Department of Defense amid hard questions about its involvement in two separate violent incidents in Iraq.

"Blackwater has been a contractor in the past with the department and could certainly be in the future," said the U.S.’s top-ranking military officer, General Peter Pace, at an afternoon press conference here.

The future arrived just two hours later when the Pentagon released a new list of contracts – Presidential Airways, the aviation unit of parent company Blackwater, was awarded the contract to fly Department of Defense passengers and cargo between locations around central Asia.

So a private security company goes in and murders civilians in cold blood, and what do they get?

Rewarded.

One of the last things Paul Bremer did before leaving his position in Iraq, was to grant immunity to any private contractor who killed or wounded Iraqi civilians.

There is currently no oversight, and no one to whom Blackwater contractors have to answer, except their corporate bosses.

And just a side note on the company's president, Erick Prince.

Prince is a member of the Council for National Policy, the super-secretive organization Vice-President Cheney addressed last week. A prominent Republican donor, Prince describes himself as a "born-again Christian", as do many members of CNP.

However, where this group may depart from others who describe their faith in this way appears to be a desire to wrest control of the US government from secular to funamentalist Chirstian control.

Think about that one very carefully.

The founding Fathers of this country, in the First Amendment to the Constitution stated: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

They had seen the terror created by "state religions", and wanted to avoid it for the United States.

The goal of this organization appears to be the First Amendment's absolute antithesis; the establishment of an American theocracy.

The ultimate weapon

Irak : ces mercenaires d’un nouveau genre

Des témoins ont accusé les gardes du corps protégeant un convoi du département d’Etat américain d’avoir ouvert le feu sans retenue sur des civils, alors que ce convoi s’était cru pris à partie par des insurgés.

Réputés pour leur agressivité, souvent visés par les insurgés, ces mercenaires d’un nouveau genre sont haïs des Irakiens et connus pour ouvrir le feu indistinctement sur les véhicules ou les piétons approchant imprudemment de leurs convois.

Ils sont estimés entre 30.000 et 50.000, et forment le second contingent étranger après l’armée américaine.

Les eaux troubles de Blackwater

Blackwater est la plus grande des sociétés « contractuelles militaires privées » qui opèrent en Irak et Afghanistan. Fondée en 1997 par un ex-commandant des Navy Seals, elle est composée de cinq compagnies spécialisées. Elle se définit comme « la compagnie militaire professionnelle la plus complète du monde », qui compte parmi ses clients, outre des sociétés multinationales, le Pentagone et le Département d’Etat. Elle est spécialisée en « imposition de la loi, maintien de la paix et opérations de stabilité ». Une fois sur le terrain, elle a pratiquement une licence pour tuer : un document du commandement Us, rendu public par le New York Times (avril 2004), autorise les compagnies militaires privées en Irak à utiliser la « force létale », en autodéfense mais aussi pour la « défense (de) propriété », et pour « arrêter, détenir et fouiller des civils ». On ne sait pas exactement à combien se monte le personnel de Blackwater en Irak : peut-être 1500 hommes mais, d’après le NYT, « il est impossible de savoir le nombre exact ».

Selon le NYT le Pentagone a cependant confirmé qu’en Irak, et aux côtés des forces étasuniennes, opèrent environ 126 mille contractors (contractuels est peut-être un terme un peu faible, on peut sans doute dire mercenaires, NdT) : un total qui est proche de l’ensemble de la force militaire étasunienne déployée ici (mais au début de juillet le Los Angeles Times parlait de 18 mille contractors parmi lesquels ceux affectés aux tâches de soutien et de sécurité, un chiffre donc supérieur aux 160 mille militaires Us en Irak). Ceci entre dans la « stratégie de l’outsourcing » (sous-traitance, NdT) adoptée par l’administration Bush en Irak comme en Afghanistan : un nombre croissant de fonctions, auparavant assumées par les militaires, est confié aux compagnies privées : y compris la « fourniture de sécurité » et l’ « interrogatoire des prisonniers ». Les contractors ne font pas qu’entraîner les forces armées locales, mais participent aux actions de combat. Nombre d’entre eux proviennent des forces spéciales et des services secrets à cause des gains : un commandant privé peut gagner plus de 300 mille euros annuels.

L’autre grande compagnie militaire privée est DynCorp International, qui se définit comme « entreprise globale multiforme ». Avec un personnel de dizaines de milliers de spécialistes, elle opère surtout au Moyen-Orient, dans les Balkans et en Amérique latine, pour le compte de Pentagone, Cia, Fbi et Département d’Etat. Elle s’est aussi spécialisée dans les technologies de l’information, si bien que le Pentagone, la Cia et le Fbi lui ont confié la gestion de leurs archives informatiques. L’importance de la société a pris un essor depuis, en 2003, qu’elle a été achetée par la société californienne Computer Sciences Corporation, spécialisée dans les technologies de l’information, très bien placée au Pentagone. C’est ainsi que la société DynCorp accomplit sa mission, qui consiste à aider « le gouvernement étasunien à instaurer la stabilité sociale à travers un style de gouvernement démocratique ». Une photo emblématique montre (le président afghan) Karzaï prononçant son discours le « jour de l’indépendance afghane », entouré d’élégants gardes du corps de DynCorp, armés de gros fusils mitrailleurs. Mais il y a un autre secteur, pas trop vanté par la publicité, dans lequel DynCorp excelle : celui des opérations secrètes confiées par la Cia et autres agences fédérales. En Colombie, Bolivie et Pérou, elle participe aux opérations militaires dirigées officiellement contre les trafiquants de drogue. Un domaine où cette société anonyme de la guerre a acquis une riche expérience, depuis que, dans les années 80, elle a aidé Oliver North à fournir des armes aux contras nicaraguayens pour le compte de la Cia (et grâce au prix Nobel de la paix, Henri Quis’ingère, NdT). Dans les années 90, toujours pour le compte de la Cia, elle a entraîné et armé l’Uck au Kosovo (mais c’était avant que n’arrive Bernard Kouchner, peut-être futur prix Nobel de la paix ? NdT). On peut donc être sûr qu’aujourd’hui la DynCorp, comme Blackwater et les autres, conduit aussi des opérations secrètes en Irak et Afghanistan.

U.S. Repeatedly Rebuffed Iraq on Blackwater Complaints

Senior Iraqi officials repeatedly complained to U.S. officials about Blackwater USA's alleged involvement in the deaths of numerous Iraqis, but the Americans took little action to regulate the private security firm until 11 Iraqis were shot dead last Sunday, according to U.S. and Iraqi officials.

Before that episode, U.S. officials were made aware in high-level meetings and formal memorandums of Blackwater's alleged transgressions. They included six violent incidents this year allegedly involving the North Carolina firm that left a total of 10 Iraqis dead, the officials said.

Dead Iraqis - or dead Americans - mean very little to this US government: what is of consequence to them is the oil.

Warplanes: Blackwater Buys Brazilian Bombers

Blackwater already has a force of armed helicopters in Iraq, and apparently wants something a little faster, and more heavily armed, to fulfill its security contracts overseas. Initially, Blackwater is getting one two-seater, for pilot training in the United States.

Looks as though BLACKWATER is indeed transforming into a world-wide private army of mercenaries.
