HYPER-INFLATION IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man charged $23-quadrillion for smokes

MANCHESTER, N.H. - A New Hampshire man says he swiped his debit card at a gas station to buy a pack of cigarettes and was charged over $23 quadrillion dollars.

Josh Muszynski checked his account online a few hours later and saw the 17-digit number, a stunning $23,148,855,308,184,500. That's twenty-three quadrillion, one hundred forty-eight trillion, eight hundred fifty-five billion, three hundred eight million, one hundred eighty-four thousand, five hundred dollars.

Muszynski says he spent two hours on the phone with Bank of America trying to sort out the string of numbers and the $15 overdraft fee.

The bank corrected the error the next day.

Bank of America tells WMUR-TV only the card issuer, Visa, could answer questions. Visa, in turn, referred questions to the bank.

British girl's heart heals itself after transplant

After 10 years with two blood pumping organs, Hannah Clark's faulty one did what many experts had thought impossible: it healed itself enough so that doctors could remove the donated heart.

But she also had a price to pay: the drugs Clark took to prevent her body from rejecting the donated heart led to malignant cancer that required chemotherapy.

NASA Plans to De-Orbit $100B ISS in 2016

$100 billion ISS investment to turn into blazing fireball and ultimately end up in the Pacific Ocean

The International Space Station (ISS) has been orbiting the Earth at a distance of about 220 miles for years. The ISS has seen its share of problems and budget cuts over the years that have resulted in a somewhat neutered space station.

Michael T. Suffredini, the NASA space station program manager, has announced that despite the fact that the ISS is only now nearing completion, there are already plans to de-orbit the station. The last of the components for the ISS are set to be in place next year and according to Suffredini, the station is currently planned to crash back to Earth in 2016.

168 people feared dead in Iran plane crash

Iran's civil and military fleet is made up of ancient aircraft in very poor condition due to their age and lack of maintenance. The Iranian regime is barred by sanctions from buying American Boeing planes or European Airbus craft when they include a significant number of US parts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, the blood of these Iranian CIVILIAN passengers is on the hands of the US Government, just as surely as it was when the USS Vincennes shot down an Iranian passenger plane in 1988.

Or did one of the US-encouraged coup plotters simply plant as bomb on board?

House Democrats Will Seek Massive $540 Billion Tax Increase

Despite a still-lagging U.S. economy and rising unemployment rate, House Democrats announced late yesterday that they will seek a massive increase in federal income taxes to help pay for the national health-care reform proposal that President Obama is urging Congress to enact this summer.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You know, we had something more along the lines of ending all these pointless wars and ending the handouts to foreign governments who don't act grateful anyway as the best way to pay for services to the taxpayers.

Michigan Unemployment Rate Soars To 15.2%

Michigan's unemployment rate for June of 2009 jumped to 15.2%. That's a 1.1% increase over the prior month.

Rates usually climb or fall by a few tenths of a percent. It's rare to see such a substantial increase or decrease.

But experts say the struggling economy combined with the ailing auto market means Michigan has been hit harder than other states.

Georgia jobless rate hits record 10.1 percent in June

Georgia's jobless rate soared to a record 10.1 percent in June and labor officials Wednesday urged lawmakers to develop measures to combat a decline that's cost the state 209,500 jobs in the last year.

The Georgia Department of Labor said the seasonally adjusted unemployed rate for June was five-tenths of a percentage point above a revised 9.6 percent in May, stunting speculation that Georgia's economic picture could be stabilizing. "Georgia is in the midst of a deepening economic crisis," (State Labor Commissioner) Michael Thurmond said.

The numbers mark the latest dip in an economic roller coaster ride that officials thought was ending.

Goldman Sachs Reverts to Pre-Lehman Risk Mean as Profits Surge

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is poised to report the largest profit since it set earnings records in 2007, marking the return of a business model that was the envy of Wall Street before the financial crisis devastated competitors and spurred a government bailout.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But GS is a looting operation. As revealed in the emerging program trading scandal, GS's use of program trading (illegal for anyone else) extracts $100 million a day from the stock market, money sucked away from other non-program traders and the traded companies themselves.

And, Goldman Sachs does not return anything of any worth to the markets in exchange for that $100 million a day!

WALL STREET SHUTS DOWN PROGRAM TRADING REPORTS!

The purpose of this Information Memo is to advise all member organizations that the New York Stock Exchange LLC (“NYSE”) will be decommissioning the requirement to report program trading activity via the Daily Program Trading Report (“DPTR”), which was previously approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “Commission”).1 The last trade date for which member organizations will be required to file the DPTR with the Exchange will be July 10, 2009 and therefore the last required date to submit the DPTR will be July 14, 2009.

For Goldman, a Swift Return to Lofty Profits

Up and down Wall Street, analysts and traders are buzzing that Goldman, which only recently paid back its government bailout money, will report blowout profits from trading on Tuesday.

Analysts predict the bank earned a profit of more than $2 billion in the March-June period, because of its trading prowess across world markets. If they are right, the bank’s rivals will once again be left to wonder exactly how Goldman, long the envy of Wall Street, could have rebounded so drastically only months after the nation’s financial industry was shaken to its foundations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Goldman's "secret" isn't a secret at all. Their program trading system, dragged into the light by the arrest of a former programmer, churns the market constantly, capturing a few dollars here and there as the price of targeted stocks fluctuates, raking in $100 million a day for which nothing of value is given back. It is legalized looting on a scale that makes Bernie Madoff's scams look like stealing a few coins from the collection plate. And all of this is paid for by the traders who are not allowed to use programs, the investors who get to the trade windows a second later than Goldman Sachs, and of course, the actual companies being traded.

UK cuts Israel weapons contracts

The UK has revoked five export licences for equipment to the Israeli navy because of actions during Israel's Operation Cast Lead in Gaza this year.

The British Foreign office said the exports would now contravene its criteria for arms sales, but denied that it had imposed a partial embargo.

The UK says it does not sell weapons which might be used for internal repression or external aggression.

Israel says its troops complied fully with international law during missions.

The 22-day operation which ended on 18 January has been widely condemned as disproportionate by critics.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good for the British!

Britain retracts Israeli arms embargo

Britain denied on Monday that it had imposed an arms embargo on Israel in the wake of January's Operation Cast Lead.

Both the Foreign Office in London and the embassy in Tel Aviv told The Jerusalem Post that media reports claiming a "partial arms embargo" were incorrect.

Rather, five arms export licenses to British companies for the sale of military equipment to Israel were revoked because their use during Operation Cast Lead constituted a "contravention" of the conditions of the sale.

The revocation came after a British government review of 182 arms export licenses to Israel. All five revoked licenses were related to the upkeep of the Navy's Sa'ar 4.5 gunboats.

"Some of the licenses have been revoked," confirmed an embassy spokesperson, "but it's very short of being an arms embargo or sanctions of any kind."

Officials said the most problematic group was made up of detainees to be held without trial, who are deemed by the administration to be too dangerous to release but who cannot be tried because evidence against them may not be usable in court. Administration officials say they hope this group will be as small as possible, acknowledging opposition by civil liberties groups. But they said they were convinced there were some detainees who must be detained without charges because of their backgrounds, like extensive time in a militant training camp or a long association with a terrorist group.

Mandatory Swine Flu Vaccination Alert

Flu Shots Put Children in the Hospital

At the 105th International Conference of the American Thoracic Society recently held in San Diego, researchers presented a study showing that the flu vaccine – widely touted as a "must have" for children with chronic illnesses – isn't effective in preventing influenza-related hospitalizations in children, especially ones with asthma. But here's the most damning evidence that flu shots aren't the safe, helpful vaccine the Centers for Disease Control ( CDC) and other government agencies claim: the researchers also found that children who get the flu vaccine are more at risk for hospitalization than their peers who do not get the vaccine.

SOLDIER REFUSES TO DEPLOY TO AFGHANISTAN ON ORDER OF FOREIGN BORN PRESIDENT, U.S. ARMY REVOKES ORDER RATHER THAN FORCE THE ISSUE IN COURT

Bush was a de facto president and he had two terms in office. The difference here is that the military never revoked any deployment orders under Bush because of questions about his illegal presidency.

It would appear to me that the situation in the U.S. just became much more dangerous and unpredictable because, with this case, the mask is off.

What’s to stop tens of thousands of military personnel from obtaining the exact same outcome as Major Stefan Cook? Not much, apparently.

This is an extremely serious development.

Pentagon orders soldier fired for challenging prez

The Department of Defense has compelled a private employer to fire a U.S. Army Reserve major from his civilian job after he had his military deployment orders revoked for arguing he should not be required to serve under a president who has not proven his eligibility for office.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, this is a HUGE flashing neon sign saying, "LOOK OVER HERE!!!"

They are working TOO hard to make this case look interesting.

Let us be honest; unless you are personally willing to kick down the door of OUR White House, fight your way past the SS, and evict Obama, then any discussions about his eligibility are a pointless waste of time, because if the US Government were willing or able to do anything about it, they would have done so long before now.

So, this feels to me like the "No plane at Pentagon", and "Apollo Landings were faked" distractions; planted and intended to trick the bloggers into wasting their time rather than to stay focused on the real issues of preventing a new world war and putting the blame for the economic melt-down where it rightly belongs.

More 'secret' cash for MPs?

MPs' secret meetings loosen rules for cash and benefits Module body

Sat Jun 6, 2009

By Tim Naumetz, The Canadian Press

OTTAWA - Members of Parliament have exempted the cash and benefits they receive from political parties and riding associations from restrictions and public disclosure under the House of Commons conflict-of-interest code.

The move was unanimously approved without a vote in the Commons after a series of committee hearings conducted entirely in secret.

The closed-door decision counters a trend to more accountability in government and should have come under public scrutiny, a democracy advocate says.

The change also could erode the independence of backbench MPs and make them more beholden to party bosses instead of voters, adds Democracy Watch chief Duff Conacher.

All four parties in the Commons approved the change last Thursday after a House rules committee and one of its subcommittees held eight meetings on the topic that were closed to the public.

The watchdog over conflict of interest for MPs and public office holders, Ethics Commissioner Mary Dawson, gave evidence and advice at four of the closed-door meetings.

But her comments will remain a secret, along with all statements and comments MPs made about the topic during the in-camera hearings.

The code requires MPs to disclose all gifts and benefits valued at more than $500.

The MPs expanded the change to specifically exclude money that is not repayable and property and services obtained from a political party or riding association from the definition of "benefit" in the code.

The amendment means there is no limit on money or goods and services MPs may receive in that context, and no obligation to report it on a public registry maintained by the ethics commissioner.

"Political parties and riding associations oftentimes pay, or reimburse, registration fees, travel expenses and hospitality to members for their participation at political events," the committee report says.

"These benefits cannot, under any circumstances, be seen to compromise their personal judgment or integrity, and, therefore, should be excluded from the definition of 'benefit."'

Conacher argues the change means MPs might be able to build up campaign war chests under the radar between elections - a practice Parliament itself ended several years ago with the elimination of blind trusts in riding associations.

He says the change could also lead to the kind of MP expense abuse that has rocked the British Parliament.

"If you look at the whole scandal of what happened in Britain, this will allow parties to give all those kinds of gifts, those were gifts of services and money, to MPs in secret," he said.

"It will allow the parties to buy off MPs in secret and make it much more likely that they will toe the party line instead of representing voter concerns."

Banks storing oil in anticipation of price increases

The giant US bank JPMorgan Chase has reportedly hired a newly-built supertanker to store heating oil off the Mediterranean island of Malta. Other companies, including BP and a unit of Citigroup, have also hired ships to store either crude oil or oil products.

Ottawa digging a $172-billion hole in deficits, TD Bank says Module body

Tue Jun 2, 2009

By Julian Beltrame, The Canadian Press

OTTAWA - Canada is headed for a series of shocking federal deficits that will put the federal government more than $172 billion in the hole over the next five years, the TD Bank says in a new analysis.

The report Tuesday doubles the $85 billion total in deficits projected in the Conservative government's January budget and makes clear that it will take Ottawa at least six years to return to balance, not the four that had been anticipated.

Finance Minister Jim Flaherty called the new projections speculation.

California Collapsing

Washington and Wall Street seem to be treating California as if it were a sideshow in the financial circus of these turbulent times.

It’s not.

California is home to the largest manufacturing belt in the United States and to Silicon Valley, the nation’s largest high-tech center.

California is America’s most populous state with 38 million people. Its GDP of $1.8 trillion is the largest in the U.S. Its economy is bigger than those of Russia, Brazil, Canada, or India.

And it’s collapsing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As California goes, so goes the rest of the country. If the crash cannot be prevented in California, then it cannot be prevented.

We'll Need to Raise Taxes Soon

Only five months after Inauguration Day, the focus of Washington's economic and domestic policy is already shifting. This reflects the emergence of much larger budget deficits than anyone expected. Indeed, federal deficits may average a stunning $1 trillion annually over the next 10 years. This worsened outlook is stirring unease on Main Street and beginning to reorder priorities for President Barack Obama and the Democratic congressional leadership. By 2010, reducing the deficit will become their primary focus.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You know that $13 trillion the government borrowed to give to Wall Street?

Guess who they are coming after to get the money.

All of these government policies that brought the nation to ruin were done without the consent of the people. Whether lying us all into wars of conquest, endless gifts to Israel, tax credits to encourage the export of high paying jobs, the repeal of Glass-Steagal, bailouts, etc. etc. etc. the fact is that these were all done against the wishes of the majpority of Americans.

Therefore, the effort to raise taxes to pay for a government that is spending money like there is no tomorrow represents taxation without representation. Because representation does not mean simply voting people into Congress, it means that the people voted into Congress VOTE the will of the people.

Clearly, as illustrated during the TARP debate, Congress does not represent the will of the people; it represents the will of the bankers.

Now, in the school I went to in New Hampshire, taxation without representation was taught as a just cause for the removal of a government and creation of a new one. A lot of ancestors on my mother's side of the were killed in a war over that very issue. I do not feel we should cast aside so lightly that for which they paid so dearly.

Bankster "Holiday" Planned for September

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars

Bob Chapman’s influential International Forecaster is reporting on the possibility of a so-called “bank holiday” planned for late August or early September. According to Chapman’s sources, U.S. embassies around the world are selling dollars and stockpiling money from respective countries where they operate.

FDR imposed a "bank holiday" soon after taking office. It resulted in the government stealing gold from the American people and giving them useless fiat paper money in return.

“Some US embassies worldwide are being advised to purchase massive amounts of local currencies,” writes Harry Schultz, “enough to last them a year.” Schultz publishes the Harry Schultz Letter, an international investment, financial, economic, and geopolitical newsletter named as “Newsletter of the Year” by Peter Brimelow of Market Watch in 2005 and 2008.

Schultz believes the global elite are in the process of engineering an FDR-style “bank holiday” of undetermined length in order to “sort-out the bank mess” and impose new bank rules.

US cities may have to be bulldozed in order to survive

Dozens of US cities may have entire neighbourhoods bulldozed as part of drastic "shrink to survive" proposals being considered by the Obama administration to tackle economic decline.

The government looking at expanding a pioneering scheme in Flint, one of the poorest US cities, which involves razing entire districts and returning the land to nature.

Local politicians believe the city must contract by as much as 40 per cent, concentrating the dwindling population and local services into a more viable area.

The radical experiment is the brainchild of Dan Kildee, treasurer of Genesee County, which includes Flint.

Having outlined his strategy to Barack Obama during the election campaign, Mr Kildee has now been approached by the US government and a group of charities who want him to apply what he has learnt to the rest of the country.

Mr Kildee said he will concentrate on 50 cities, identified in a recent study by the Brookings Institution, an influential Washington think-tank, as potentially needing to shrink substantially to cope with their declining fortunes.

Clinton:U.S. Wont Hesitate to Use Military Against Iran

Defense official: Israel readying for attack on Iran

Israel's recent deployment of warships across the Red Sea should be seen as serious preparation for an attack on Iran, an Israeli defense official told the Times of London on Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks as though Haaretz is sourcing their old friend again, that Greek, "Anonymous".

But if Israel decides to go through with an attack against a nation which is building a power plant, and not bombs, they should just go ahead and do it - without any US help.

We've spent enough in money and blood, thank you very much, "neutralizing" Iraq, which - by the way - never, ever had weapons of mass destruction.

You will note that the demonization of Iran is proceeding in the corporate western press, ahead of such a potential strike, full-tilt boogie; remember, this was precisely the kind of synchronized lie campaign which preceded the invasion of Iraq.

Iran is Russia's 7th largest trading partner. One has to wonder what Israel thinks Russia will do if Israel attacks Iran.

I don't think the Russian answer to such an attack against Iran will be that of sitting back...and doing nothing.

World may back Iran op as part of deal

A deal taking shape between Israel and Western leaders will facilitate international support for an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities in exchange for concessions in peace negotiations with the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, The Times reported Thursday.

According to one British official quoted by the paper, such an understanding could allow an Israeli attack "within the year."

The report in the UK paper quoted unnamed diplomats as saying Israel was prepared to offer concessions on the formation of a Palestinian state as well as on its settlement policy and "issues" with Arab neighbors, in exchange for international backing for an Israeli operation in Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The JP apparently also loves to quote "That Greek Anonymous" when it comes to these kinds of breathless pronouncements, softening up the English-speaking world for an impending Israeli strike on Iran.

And by the way, if there is international support for such a strike... just what are Russia and China saying about it?!?!

Absolutely nothing?!?

Thought so. Iran is Russia's 7th largest trading partner.

Some adults in the room in Tel Aviv and Washington had better recognize that fact before they do something spectacularly idiotic.

July is deadliest for US-led forces in Afghanistan

July is shaping up as the deadliest month of the Afghan war for U.S.-led international forces, with the number killed already matching the highest full-month toll of the nearly eight-year conflict, according to figures compiled by The Associated Press.

As of Wednesday, at least 46 international troops, including 24 Americans, had been killed in Afghanistan this month, according to statements by the U.S. military and the NATO command. That matches the tolls for the two previous deadliest months — June and August of 2008.

The rate of deaths in July — about three a day — is approaching some of the highest levels of the Iraq war.

EU: 'Accept PA State as Full Member of UN'

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana is taking steps to move the establishment of a Palestinian Authority state through the United Nations, whether Israel agrees to it or not.

Solana told a British audience in London on Saturday that Israel and the PA should be given a deadline by which to conclude negotiations for a two-state solution. If a final status agreement is not reached by that time, according to the Reuters news agency, Solana recommended that one be imposed by the United Nations instead.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel is the only State admitted to UN membership on condition that it would be obedient to the world body and be bound, more specifically, by two General Assembly resolutions – of November 1947 for partition of Palestine and of December 1948 enshrining the right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their homes or be satisfied with compensation. A document on UN record, dated 29 November 1948, reads: "On behalf of the State of Israel, I, Moshe Shertok, Minister for Foreign Affairs, being duly authorised by the State Council of Israel, declare that the State of Israel hereby unreservedly accepts the obligation of the UN Charter and undertakes to honour them from the day when it becomes a Member of the United Nations." Four days after Israel had been accepted by UN as one of its members, David Ben Gurion, Israel's first prime minister, declared in the Knesset that UN's Palestine partition resolution no longer held any moral force because the Arabs had violated it and for Israel the resolution was "null and void" as far as Jerusalem was concerned.

Netanyahu: Palestinian refugees must never return to their homes

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged Palestinians to give up the right of return to their homes in what is now Israel as a precondition for a future peace deal. Speaking on Sunday evening at a ceremony marking the 105th anniversary of the death of Zionist leader Theodore Herzl, Netanyahu said "They [Palestinians] must abandon their demand to settle the descendents of Palestinian refugees in Israel and gradually 'eat away' at the State of Israel after a peace agreement is signed," according to Israel's Ynet news website.

In 1948, Jewish and Israeli forces expelled more than 726,000 Palestinians from their homes in the land on which the Israeli state was declared, according to United Nations figures. Today, Palestine refugees and their descendants are some 5.5 million people.

Soldiers say received orders to shoot first, worry later in Gaza war

A number of IDF soldiers who took part in Israel's recent Gaza offensive say they were urged by commanders to shoot first and worry later about sorting out civilians from combatants. Accordingly, they say, the force went into Gaza with guns blazing.

Amnesty details Gaza 'war crimes'

Israel committed war crimes and carried out reckless attacks and acts of wanton destruction in its Gaza offensive, an independent human rights report says.

Israel soldiers speak out on Gaza

A group of soldiers who took part in Israel's assault in Gaza say widespread abuses were committed against civilians under "permissive" rules of engagement.

The troops said they had been urged to fire on any building or person that seemed suspicious and said Palestinians were sometimes used as human shields.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Not the first time Israel has used human shields.

Israel accused of mistreating women prisoners

Pregnant detainees "do not enjoy preferential treatment in terms of diet, living space or transfer to hospitals," it said. "Pregnant prisoners are also chained to their beds until they enter delivery rooms and shackled once again after giving birth.

Israeli Soldiers Question Moral Integrity of Gaza Offensive

Israeli combat soldiers have acknowledged that they forced Palestinian civilians to serve as human shields, needlessly killed unarmed Gazans and improperly used white phosphorus shells to burn down buildings as part of Israel’s three-week military offensive in the Gaza Strip last winter.

Breaking silence on Gaza abuses

Standing by the ruins of his home in Gaza, Majdi Abed Rabbo explained how Israeli troops had used him as a human shield. "The Israeli soldiers handcuffed me and pointed the gun at my neck," he said. "They controlled every step." In this manner, Mr Abed Rabbo said, he was forced to go in ahead of Israeli soldiers as they cleared houses containing Palestinian gunmen. This same incident was described by one of the Israeli soldiers who spoke to Breaking the Silence.

Prisoners' club: Hadarim slashes bread ration to Palestinian prisoners

The Israeli prison authority (IPA) in Hadarim has reduced by two thirds the ration of bread provided for the Palestinian prisoners, the Palestinian prisoners' club said on Tuesday.

The club quoted prisoner Sidki Tamimi, who is serving a 35-year sentence, as saying that the jailers were supplying one loaf of bread for three prisoners while it used to supply one loaf for each prisoner.

Israeli navy in Suez Canal prepares for potential attack on Iran

The Israeli air force, meanwhile, will send F16C fighter jets to participate in exercises at Nellis Air Force base in Nevada this month. Israeli C130 Hercules transport aircraft will also compete in the Rodeo 2009 competition at McChord Air Force base in Washington.

“It is not by chance that Israel is drilling long-range manoeuvres in a public way. This is not a secret operation. This is something that has been published and which will showcase Israel’s abilities,” said an Israeli defence official.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Notice that this quote from the "Israeli defense official" is not sourced.

However, this entire exercise, coupled with the depth of military integration between the US and Israeli forces, does not augur well for any kind of peaceful resolution regarding Iran.

I would like to hope that some adults in the room in Tel Aviv and Washington have noticed the following article:

http://www.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idUSTRE56D1CR20090714

This article, posted yesterday, states the following:

"Russia will not agree to tougher sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program in exchange for a new nuclear arms cuts deal with Washington, Interfax news agency quoted a foreign ministry source as saying Tuesday."

All they are talking about here are sanctions. Iran is Russia's 7th largest trading partner.

One has to wonder just what the Russian Duma will do when it sees a joint US/Israeli strike against Iran. Sit and do nothing? I would doubt that seriously.

Is this administration and its military so lusting after a war, any war, to get the US economy back into some equilibrium, that they really believe that a war with Russia could possibly be a good idea?

I would certainly like to hope not.

No easy choices as Israel ponders strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities

An attack would isolate the country and jeopardise relations with America, Israel’s most important ally. Yet Israelis across the political spectrum are prepared to support a strike if it means preventing Tehran from acquiring a nuclear bomb; something most experts believe is only months away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that Mr. Beeson has been given his marching orders to "groom" the English-speaking world for an upcoming Israeli attack against Iran.

The facts, however, this gentleman does a magnificent job of ignoring include:

1. Iran, as a signatory to the NPT, is perfectly within its right to build nuclear power plants.

2. The IAEA, from El-Baradei to his successor, Director-General Yukiya Amano, has seen absolutely no evidence that Iran is attempting to build nuclear weapons. The level of enrichment for a power station is far smaller than that needed to enrich for a nuclear weapon.

And as reported at: http://news.antiwar.com/2009/07/03/new-iaea-head-no-evidence-iran-seek...

"In particular, Amano noted that going through the IAEA’s documents he didn’t see any evidence that Iran was trying to develop nuclear weapons."

3. Israel, which is not a signatory to the NPT, does have nuclear weapons: this is absolutely no secret.

4. Iran has absolutely no intention of attacking Israel, because they know that any attack would lead to a swift and sure retaliation by both the US and Israel, turning Iran into puddles of green glass.

The Iranian leadership may be many things, but they are not stupid.

5. And Mr. Beeson, I do have a final question for you; if the US and/or Israel attack Iran, how, precisely, will Russia respond? I would like to remind you, sir, that - like Israel - Russia does have nukes.

This may come as a total shock, sir; however, the prospect of war with Russia to appease Israel's desire to have the US "neutralize" yet another one of its enemies (which includes almost all of its neighbors)doesn't seem to be a tremendously terrific idea.

ISRAELI ‘THOUGHT POLICE’ DECLARE ALL OUT WAR ON THE WEB

The Foreign Ministry unveiled a new plan this week: Paying talkbackers to post pro-Israel responses on websites worldwide. A total of NIS 600,000 (roughly $150,000) will be earmarked to the establishment of an “Internet warfare” squad.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This will backfire, because the web will now simply assume that ALL pro-Israel commentary is paid propaganda.
